Process Rates

You use the Process rates data grid to define the daily process rate for the process. You can use multiple rows in the data grid to define process rates that change throughout the schedule.

Process rates can only change at the start and end of a scheduling period. If you specify a process rate change during a scheduling period, the change takes effect at the end of that scheduling period.

By default, processes are assumed to operate 24 hours a day 7 days a week. If you want to account for shutdown time for the process in your schedule, create a calendar for the working or holiday time and apply the calendar to the process.

You can define the parameters for process rates in the Process rates data grid, or you can use the spreadsheet view. To access the spreadsheet view, select Spreadsheet > Enable Spreadsheet Views, and then select the Process Rates spreadsheet. When the Process Rates spreadsheet is enabled, it replaces the Process rates data grid in the Location Properties pane.
